Drazen "Amadeus" Petrovic

The Man

The Myth

The Legend

I'll quote his brother Aleksandar when he passed away

"It's hard for you to imagine here in America, because you have so many great players,

but we are a country of four million; without him, basketball takes three steps back."

It actually took 10 steps back

Our basketball NEVER recovered from that blow

I wrote about him once

What Nike Air Jordan's was in States that was Adidas Drazen's in Croatia ... must have!

(His mother holding pair of his)

What is amazing for me apart all his hallmarks in basketball is how modest he was

so here is my modest mouse for this melancholic weekend some 10 hours to racking balls

Regards

Damjan

P.S. Funny thing Art is that I planed to prepare post regarding him ...now you gave me deserved push

Thank you
