Thank you internet. I knew it was an ETA Valjoux and was able to match it to the 7730. I’ve watched the disassembly video but mostly to get out the winding stem (it’s pre button) as I diagnosed the setting problem as a crown that needs to be tightened down. I think I can probably just oil the chronograph pushers without messing with the actual movement which seems in good order.

The U/N is a bit vintage but very nice. The Germano & Walter I could get some weeks ago. I think it is the last T-500 they produced. Very heavy and rough.

You are welcome dear @lberti. Mine is the first generation version. Actually this my second DSSD as the first one was a black dial one which I gifted to my son almost unused.
Then I fell in love with this version dial and bought it. Looks like yours is the later version with a wider bracelet at the lugs isn´t it? Keep enjoying yours so much! Hagwe, Abel
