.. Well, friends - in fact it has been a rather simple story
about Happy - go lucky, and Lucky - go happy:
Had been looking and hunting a Vintage Rolex Explorer I for almost
3 years; it should be one with gilt, and from the fifties.
I had always enjoyed seeing this plain, pure and typical Rolex,
on two of my friends, but for me quite some time nothing materialized.
Then, last year one of my friends, (you know, who you are),
who kindly had been also keeping his eyes open, had located one
from a known collector & dealer, who parted from a special
one from his own collection.
I was thrilled, and quickly was decided to acquire this fine example,
whereby my two friends strongly had encouraged me.
The initial pics already were really nice, but when the tic-tac arrived,
I indeed was surprised, how beautiful this specimen was in real !
Ever since, I absolutely love it, praising my luck, and each time,
looking at her, wearing her, enjoying her, means pure pleasure.
Thank you, my two friends, for your encouragement and kind advice
- I am still totally in love with her, still happy about this beautiful find !
Now, without further ado, here a little of my collages, of one of my true
prides: Rolex Explorer, gilt, with the time-correct riveted bracelet, from 50ies
a joy to look at, and for me a very happy & lucky surprise !
