Ok, divers! Let's rock 'n roll . . .

Feb 07, 2025,18:39 PM

. . . with our favorite dive watches.

And if you don't have one - I didn't for years! - share the diver you'd like to own.

A few years ago one of our community members, Kevster, said in a somber tone, "Every man needs a chronograph."  Instantly I knew he was right.

This weekend we will engage in Dr No's recently arrived at corollary to Kevster's Rule: "Every man needs a diver."

🀿

'Nuff said.  Let's see the watches that withstand deep water dives in your collections.

My project

By: EinPA : February 7th, 2025-18:52
Shot today The glass before I cleaned it up. A 1950’s/1960’s Avalon chronograph/ Diver looks to be a Valjoux 7730 I’ve got it working but need to get the winders to move the minute hand forward (I can only set backwards). I did clean up the crown and it’s...

Thanks Cap.

By: EinPA : February 8th, 2025-22:08
Thank you internet. I knew it was an ETA Valjoux and was able to match it to the 7730. I’ve watched the disassembly video but mostly to get out the winding stem (it’s pre button) as I diagnosed the setting problem as a crown that needs to be tightened dow...

Now that’s a cool project!

Hello Brauner! Superb selection of dive watches you share here. I specially liked the Germano & Walter watch. A very impressive presence on the wrist!!

By: Subexplorer : February 8th, 2025-23:20
IΒ΄m happy to know that you own an U/N dive watch. I find mine a lovely watch with a vintage look I like so much. Keep enjoying your awesome dive watches! Best, Abel

Thank you Abel.

By: brauner : February 9th, 2025-12:40
The U/N is a bit vintage but very nice. The Germano & Walter I could get some weeks ago. I think it is the last T-500 they produced. Very heavy and rough.

Hello @lberti! The DSSD is a real Sea Monster.

By: Subexplorer : February 8th, 2025-23:30
And the James Cameron gradient blue dial is awesome. A big watch for sure and an impressive presence on the wrist. Looks great on your wrist. Mine says Hello and Hagwe! Abel ...

You are welcome dear @lberti. Mine is the first generation version. Actually this my second DSSD as the first one was a black dial one which I gifted to my son almost unused.

By: Subexplorer : February 9th, 2025-13:57
Then I fell in love with this version dial and bought it. Looks like yours is the later version with a wider bracelet at the lugs isnΒ΄t it? Keep enjoying yours so much! Hagwe, Abel

Hi Art did you post to the wrong person? No 5512 is shown. These are 6538 and 6200 explorer dial big crowns and a 5513 Explorer. It would take 200-400 Denali cues for the trade to be okay You can pick them up in Mayfair London.

The intriguing part is the No Rad painted on the dial. Cam we see more pictures. Maybe a new thread in the Rolex forum. Below is the snowflake 9401/1 no date or 7021/0 - date function from the 1970's later becoming 94110 mid 1970's ...
