i knew it was from 1964 due to the gold coloured AOPA symbol on the dial.
gold was only used from dec 63- dec 64. a bit of valuable info i found out
recently which will pay dividends when i have the money to look for one myself.
i would prefer the cosmonaute as i like 24 hour dials, but they all seem to be
gold plated and too expensive for my blood. my '66 cosmo was gold plated so i
wasnt sorry to see it go.

i was only discussing this with Ginger last night. so many watches from
that period are gold filled or gold plated that it gets a bit boring and i look
