Given the variety of items presented, I decided to divide my picks into a few categories, and rather than presenting a ranking, I’ll simply compile some of the shots that caught my attention, in one way or another.
I’d like to start with items that have to do with the military and with weapons: Boris presents a Marine Nationale-themed collection of Tudors, a knife and a bag made out of the mainsail of a yacht, Cpt Scarlet presents a set of aviation gadgets alongside his Stowa Flieger, Subexplorer apparently knows what makes me tick: Omega and Bond, showing a pairing of a limited edition Walther P99 with the beautiful Seamaster NTTD edition on top, while R. Goodfellow captures an intense lume shot of his Oris on top on what seems to be a pocket knife.
As for the next category, I chose art pieces: Timeout’s Chinese snuff bottle and his Hawaiian triptych stun with their meticulous craftsmanship. Brauner’s son’s g shock sits atop a rebellious ready-made iron.
Cpt Scarlet is back, with a couple of beautifully framed Pateks and a bronze figure holding one of them
Now it’s time for some other cool collector’s items... Dr No pairs his vintage Omega with the only non-limited pool cue in his arsenal
Andy_Mac offers a photo of some cool hand-painted locomotives paired with a green-dialed SUF
InHavenPro is after my own heart, with a badass pairing of an Amvox and a mineral made of tourmaline and, beware, QUARTZ !
Subexplorer provides some shots of beautiful pens, one of which could have suited last week’s “watches and books” theme, paired with an ivory dagger
Now that I’ve mentioned pens, how about some Mont Blancs? Penfriend amazes with his huge collection of MB limited edition pieces… we need movement pics!
Subexplorer and hs111 bring horology and nature closer together, with a Zenith WPS limited edition basking in the sunlight and a couple of JLC Deep Sea Alarms precariously resting on a bed of flowers.
Here are some more spare images that I'd like to add to the list: two gorgeous photos coming from Yacomino, one of his ck859 and one of his Grand Seiko, sporting a beautiful strap.
Gelato Monster matches the handsome white dial of his Geophysic limited edition to the white cup of coffee
Terbaboom and NT931 bring a heavy-hitting duo of independent horology, with an intense Moser fume dial and a simple yet elegant sector dial Habring.
Last, but certainly not least, pplater shows us a rare AP Grande & Petit Sonnerie
