Recommendation for aftermarket plastic tip to adjust pusher?

Mar 19, 2023,15:52 PM

Sorry if I am not clear here.

My friend is going to pick up a second hand annual / perpetual and the watch won't come with the adjuster tool for pressing the recessed pushers (  adjust the watch day / date etc.

Of course he can use a tooth pick.

I was wondering

1) would a plastic tip be better than a wooden toothpick in terms of not scratching the watch?

2) Any recommended links on amazon us?  my feeble attempt at searching mainly returned listings for metal pin pushers for adjusting bracelets

but I don't think a toothpick would scratch the watch. Most recessed pushers have a concave area where you put the tip of the factory supplied tool so it won't slide around on the pusher.

Many of us really use a toothpick as our go-to tool — hard to think of a simpler and safer solution👍

that being said WHAT would be the proper search term for this WIS gear if I were to go to google or amazon? (thank you for the reminder)

It occurred one time when I had to change the date/month/day mechanism and was away from home. Worked like a charm!

Recent and current pushers supplied with watches by Jaeger have a plastic tip and work quite well...so at least Jaeger got the message. Richard, NYC
