The problem with a lever crown and with your system in case of extreme shock against a rock for example, the lever breaks and the winding stem and what retains it can fall. No real warranty of absolute watertightness and water resistance. The best crown system was build by Rolex in the 1930's, it is the screw downcrown which is used on most of the diving and chrono watches

I agree with you, screw crown is very nice.~ but also has disadvantage.! 1. I have many experience screw line damaged. 2. screw crown is not good with manual winding movement.! when crown open, stem is pull out(time setting position) sometimes..... and yo...

It would require some practical tweaking and extensive testing, but i see potential. Personally, i don't take any watches even near water, so this system has no use for me, but objectively, this might be useful. And i hate the screw down crowns - the unce...

I agree it's similar to Panerai Luminor system, but in that case the guard is obtrousive and winding is difficult, You should manage to keep it flush with the case. It would be nice to feel the positional clicks: locked, winding, setting. I think it's als...
