Vacheron slim line
One of the things I am looking at in my collection is slim movemens that lead to slim watches. While my previously presented VC with 1072 obviously does not fit that bill, but is fascinating because of the solution for the rotor problem, Vacheron Constantin has provided some nice slim watches during the 50s trough 70s based either on the 1003 caliber for handwound or the 1120 for the automatics ( as did AP with their siblings and Piaget with their 9P and 12P movements - but that's another story ). And while even the "normal" calibers of the time like the 1001(2.95mm) or the PP 23-300(3mm) would allow, because of their size, for slim looking design with a very robust mechanics, today I wanted to present a few pictures of a little watch that is based on the 1003 caliber ( and that was a mere 1.64mm in thickness )

Bezel
By: slungu : April 21st, 2021-11:22
Yes the Bezel was used on the Ref 6351 like this one but for example also on the Ref 6406 that is powered by the 1002 caliber. The textured dial was what draw ne to this watch even if I find the lettering a little bit thick, what raised question marks not...
Slim race

Well, these guys were making these starting from 1955 ! But I am also a big admirer of Piage because while their 9P movement was not as spectacular as this one, their 12P with microrotor was and they made some nice watches and kept their line until now.
