Vacheron Constantin

One of the things I am looking at in my collection is slim movemens that lead to slim watches. While my previously presented VC with 1072 obviously does not fit that bill, but is fascinating because of the solution for the rotor problem, Vacheron Constant...  

Yes the Bezel was used on the Ref 6351 like this one but for example also on the Ref 6406 that is powered by the 1002 caliber. The textured dial was what draw ne to this watch even if I find the lettering a little bit thick, what raised question marks not... 

So slim, it is almost a coin. I follow a bit the race of the slimmest watch. Piaget and Bulgari are neck an neck. Fun to read about VC’s flat wonder.

Well, these guys were making these starting from 1955 ! But I am also a big admirer of Piage because while their 9P movement was not as spectacular as this one, their 12P with microrotor was and they made some nice watches and kept their line until now.

Piaget is mysterious. Doing all on its own way. A good kept secret in the watch world.
