On June 14th, VC announced the opening of their new North American flagship boutique at 28 East 57th Street, New York.  The press release notes this is a continuation of their presence in the city since 1832!  Covering 4,500 square feet on two floors, visitors will be greeted by an interactive display that will allow one to explore the digitized archives of the Maison.  The digitization program is one I've been following for many years so I'm eager to hear back from any forum participants that attend.

As an evolution of the Les Collectionneurs program, the boutique will house a permanent collection of restored vintage timepieces available for purchase, as well as a rotating collection of Les Cabinotiers creations.

Hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 12noon to 6 pm.

This opening follows hot on the heels of VC's first-ever boutique in Monaco, launched this May.  Located within the historic downtown Opera buildings, it offers an "intimate" space of just under 500 square feet along the corridor to Place du Casino, itself fresh from renovations.  Thankfully the Grand Prix circuit was left intact!  I can only assume James Bond would have approved.

Their old boutique was in a great location in Madison ave. It was near a bunch of other boutiques. But it was… cozy. Very crowded when many other customers were inside. I hope that this new location will allow breathing room.

I'm looking forward to this when we start traveling again.

Although in the broader sense I prefer local authorized dealers over boutiques. The long term relationship and multiple brands under one roof is nice.
