Vacheron Constantin

The second chapter - the correct reference number

Nice to see some are interested and suggest to give the beauty a chance.

That's also my intention. Therefore my second thought, now a deeper dive:
I initially insisted, you need to see the movement to come up with a final valuation.
Why?
First of all, the condition of the movement would justify, it's worth to invest or not.
Second, you need the info about the movement cal. for correct identification of the ref.

I did my research about this watch and that below pictured is my conclusion:
It is not a Vacheron ref 4361 but it is the smaller sized Vacheron ref 4368.
It's not as advertised a Ladies model it's a medium size Gentleman's watch.

The ref 4361 with the corresponding caliber is more attractive to the average collector than the smaller ref 4368, and the same you could say about the two different movements.
But that's a rather subjective and simplified summary.

Vacheron & Constantin
ref 4368 (claw lugs / flamed lugs)
18K Yellow Gold
D 31 mm, H 8 mm
V&C cal V458, rhodium plated, fausses cotes (Geneva stripes) decoration, 17 jewels, Breguet balance spring etc.
period: late 1940's to early 1950's
the movement number 455xxx probably indicates a typing error (455xx would be mid 1940's).
