Don Pancho is a name, there is no meaning. Don is something like Mr. or Sir but mabybe less formal than 'Sir' in the british sense. Pancho is just the common short form from his real frist name. Yes, they could be created with Chinese signs. But there is ...

i think Chinese collectors also have a huge amount of informations about vintage vcs. But it's rare for us to be more willing to talk about a vintage vc in public through social media.

It is a good way to enhance knowlege, it a complex topic with a lot of pitfalls.

Looking at this VC forum.. Personally, i think he is the top specialist in VC watches.

And it also apply to most brands.. But VC do have some really good nice vintage pieces. Let alone the really rare ones. Those are the real deal.

Hi Student, To make an authentication you need more info and of course more pictures (top, side, back, movement, case back, as much pictures, in highest resolution as possible). And I guess you know that already very well. Where you got the watch from, is...

This case design is usually refereed to as ref 4240 or 4241, but it is not the standard version of the case whether 4240 nor 4241. It is known there were steel cases from those refs and it is known there have been lug variants. I haven't still seen enough...

It is the case design, two different layouts, easy to recognise by the pushers: ref 4240 - pushers down side, cause openings in the snap back for pushers ref 4241 - pushers up side, no openings in the snap back If you open the watch you will recognise it ...

VC few published the production of one type movement or reference . For example, the Chronometre Royal with caliber1007&1008. In 1942, the VC produced Ref. 4240, triple calendar, using caliber 455 . Then caliber 485, 495 were produced, with models 4241, 4...
