I do believe that the leaf hands are original. I have seen them on some other ref. 1578 models, and their apparent aging matches the rest of the watch. The blued second hand is also original, and I was told by a Henri Stern (NY) representative that the model was originally made with both blued and gold second hands.
He also told me, interestingly, that when such a watch is sent to Switzerland for service (as mine will be shortly), they will replace the hands if they are "too tarnished", as apparently the tarnishing process can produce debris which can, in turn, foul the movement.

because it's quite rare, to get the original buckle after 70 years, or more. This is an original buckle, and watch, from 1937, which you seen before. Brushed rosé gold with applicated yellow gold figures, 1937 ! One of 439 watches that year. That was VC's...
