I still remember…
Apr 03, 2022,06:48 AM
I still remember at the GTG in Las Vegas over a decade ago. People were criticizing me for wearing a minute répeater while go karting. The crazy tests we put watches through! Hard to imagine that a JLC Reverso survives Polo playing!

W&W 2022 Vacheron Constantin Novelties
By: patrick_y : March 30th, 2022-10:06
In 2022 Vacheron Constantin launches a few Novelties. Here, we're focusing on some of my favorites models that I was fortunate to receive the press releases for! For those who prefer an even more special movement, the tourbillon - a complication Vacheron ...
Lovely spread

I was waiting for this to be posted. Funny I was up in the middle of the night with my son (EST), PP and rolex had all the novelty posted, JLC too. I go to VC site. Nothing. Then after awhile just the 222. They were slow. For me, the skeleton tourbillon o...
222 is an interesting watch.

It was designed by Jorg Hysek. Not Gerald Genta (most people incorrectly think it was Genta). The website did seem a little slow for me too!
wowow

MR for gocarting…
By: keks : April 3rd, 2022-10:03
Why not… I don’t have any MR but do wear my pieces to many unexpected occasions and activities so don’t see anything wrong!
Well, it was at International Gathering of the Tribes for PuristSPro...
By: patrick_y : April 3rd, 2022-10:17
KFS from Chopard was sponsoring our go-karting event and a dozen or so PuristSPro members were so concerned that I was going to subject the minute repeater to the vibrations of the go-kart. The watch came out unscathed. I didn't think it was abuse neither...
Definitely 222
By: Ping.Timeout : March 30th, 2022-12:12
It’s a pity there’s no two-tone variant 😭
Agree

Yes yellow gold is too pricey and blingy in my opinion.

Many interesting watches - personally like the 222 and the overseas Ultra-thin. The PCC with Lemania movement has an intriguing salmon dial, would however like to see it in metal (or with « live » pictures on WPS. Br. Jérôme
The 222 is quite nice!
By: patrick_y : March 30th, 2022-15:57
I feel it's a little small at 37mm by today's standards. And unlike the Nautilus or the Royal Oak, it's got much more brushed surfaces and much fewer polished ones. I'm almost wishing for more polish details.
37mm = ok nonetheless ?
By: Jp75 : March 30th, 2022-16:09
I wonder whether the fact that it is an integrated bracelet makes it feels bigger (than its actual size)? I always had that feeling with RO, namely that the perceived size seemed bigger… I’m quite happy with the smallish CdV at 38,5mm … Let’s see ‚on the ...

And the « les cabinotiers » with the enamel painting of the turtle is certainly a work of art. Preferred the earlier versions with either the cities by night or the dancers but one can only admire the results! Thanks and br. Jérôme
Indeed!

Right there....

neck-and-neck, sitting at the top, along with the JLC offering in my subjective opinion. Some of these are totally exceptional - the skeletonized tourbillon Overseas, the salmon dial PC chrono (gorgeous!), even the 222 is outstanding save for the fact tha...
Don't get me wrong! I like gold a lot!
By: patrick_y : March 31st, 2022-02:34
I just prefer steel since the price might be a bit lower! I actually prefer the Traditionelle Tourbillon over the Overseas Tourbillon, but that's just me! www.watchprosite.com / Just absolutely adored that tourbillon!
I actually agree with you....
By: InHavenPro : March 31st, 2022-02:59
on the Traditionelle!! It is, to me as well, THE VC to get in that particular complication. The Overseas and 1921 are still my favorite lines of watches from VC, but I would get the OS in a movement other than a tourbillon.... That platinum Traditionelle ...
That is a nice one!
By: patrick_y : March 31st, 2022-06:53
I was so pleased with the platinum one on my wrist, especially with that choice of suit in the photograph. What a watch! I reviewed the rose gold version, which was still wonderful!
The Overseas tourbillon is amazing.

I like the use of titanium along with a skeletonizing style that suits the watch and maintains legibility. It's well out of my price range, but I think it's a fantastic watch. I like the 222 as well. The art watches are always beautiful and a treat to see...
To me,
By: InHavenPro : March 31st, 2022-03:00
no less attractive than the sold-out PP Salmon ....
Oh!
By: patrick_y : March 31st, 2022-06:56
Then it's the same movement!
