The Blast Moonstruck …
Now for something completely different.
Ulysse Nardin has just announced The Blast Moonstruck.
The watch reproduces the moon’s rotation, and replicates the movement of the sun around the globe and the tidal flow. It’s an interesting concept, to make a geocentric display that is relatively easy to understand, even for a beginner with no knowledge of astronomy.
The watch is housed in a 45mm case to enable all the information on the dial to be legible. Finished in black ceramic and black DLC-treated titanium. The movement is self winding and the complications include Dual Time, Moonphase and Perpetual Calendar.
The cost of adding this one to your collection will be approximately:
£65,790 - €78,800 - $ 88,700
The question is, are you tempted ?

I love it.

The dial is glorious, peak UN in my mind. The case simply purposeful and emphasizes the dial instead of the case itself. Do you know which stone was used for the Sun pendant and which for the Moon? Well worth the asking price in my opinion.... Cheers, Fil...
