Do I like it? Yes. Do I like it better than Freak 1/1.5? No.
I agree that this version is a clear technological step over the original Freak, but what I dislike is the finish. It may be flawless, it may be modern. But it appears .... machined. The first Freak still spanned the bridge to traditional watchmaking craftsmanship with its chamfered edges, polished surfaces, blued screws. Which expressed what the Freak was about: To carry the watchmaking tradition into the modern times. The finish of the current version is what we see everywhere: sharp edges, satinized surfaces, every detail appears to be made by a sophisticated machine, not a person.
