Ruined the lines of my 944 front, so I never had one. Dutifully have them on all my cars now, except my Renault Caravelle, where, when I was in France, had a euro plate made with my Cali numbers on them (did this in a Carre-fours!) they were cool about it. I also have the old French city lamps (amber) in my headlamps, but my county is so cool about vintage cars (The police run the Santa Paula Cruise Night), that I am never hassled while driving, day or night.
Do this in a new car and it's a different story.

I don't think that people violating VC 16028(A) not having insurance will care as so many are without insurance right now. I see so many still talking on their phones too. No front plate is not a fix it ticket anymore? Thanks for heads up ATM! -MW
