You are making me hungry Daos and very fond memories
of me and my family's visit to LA and NY in mid April this year. Stayed in Santa Monica and ate mainly Italian,Japanese , American Burgers and American fare like Ribs and one night's foray into LA China town for dinner.When In NY, whilst walking along fifth Avenue during lunch time, we came across a Korean food van and a big queue.Wonderful Korean Barbecue.We enjoyed it so much we went to NY's little Korea and had two big Korean BBQ dinners.The nicely marbled waygu beef eaten rare was a highlight for me.And what an array of side dishes.I love the Kimchi but not my children.Prior to this, my last Korean food was cooked by a Korean University friend 30 years ago, Bulgogi and KImchi. I am looking out for good Korean restaurants in Melbourne,Australia. Thanks for post Daos .Cheers , Dreamer

The dumpling and noodles look very tasty! Usually we get cold noodles (naeng myun) with Korean BBQ, or Mandoo and jajang myun ( which is like the Chinese Mandarin Ja Jiang Mein). Your post makes me want to go for Korean for dinner! -MW
I also like the noodles with black bean sauce...

We were planning to go to Momofuku on one of those nights, but spent too long up on observation deck at the Empire State Building for a night view of NY and it was getting late ,so detoured by foot to Little Korea, just 5 minutes walk away. Looking forwar...
Too long isn't long enough in my opinion on that deck.

Thank you Daos! Most people associate Korean with BBQ but there are many different variations and we love them all! In my predominantly Korean 'hood, we are blessed to be close to some pretty good Korean fare without venturing to K-town! but we may visit ...
