And would love a terrier again for their personality. But with still relatively small children we tried to be a tad more prudent 😉😂

… and they blend perfectly with horology, hence the term watchdog (ba boom tish - dad joke). Here’s mine - a 5 year old Weimaraner - named Jaeger for obvious horological reasons and that it means hunter in German. ...  

Weimaraners are truly beautiful and I would love one but for that a house would be strongly preferable. There’s always a chance of adding a second dog in due course 🤞🏻😉

… hadn’t thought of that . I tended to be called the Jaeger-meister They are great dogs but need a house and garden, especially for the first 6-7 years. Or you need to be prepped to walk 5-7km a day. Also a bit big for small children as they are goofy and... 

Although the children are now at a size where this would be less of an issue. The space would, though.

Is being socialized with cats 🐈 So that’s still an option going forward 😁 What kind of cats do you have?

Our three cats are stray cats that we have taken in over the years. In fact, two of them are mother and daughter, the third one is a male. They have become true members of our family.

We looked at the shelters for dogs but there was nothing we felt we could easily handle as the kids first dog (most were large and possibly too much for the kids 🤷🏻‍♂️).

Was scaring my daughter we would call it Adelheid but it’s a boy finally 😉

Felt Sasquatch is not quite geographically appropriate and Bigfoot is still not fully out 😂

The compromise was to start with the dog and if they properly help out for 6 months and still want tortoises, they can add them then 😉

3yrs old, my first dog ever thanks to my daughter. She agreed to look after it, but in reality, I'm the one who does mostly everything ...  

That’s why we decided to skip the entry level pipeline of turtles, rodents etc. and went for a dog. Then even if the kids don’t do much at least we have something from it 👍🏻

A 110lb Swiss’s named Luna… Looking regal…. Always goofy…… ...  

No doubt ours will feature on many pictures 😉 He will probably run away from the process less than our kids currently do 😂

Like the owner she enjoyed road trips (albeit with her head through the window) and was exceedingly well travelled - if not that well trained 😂

They are unbelievably charming 👍🏻

We've had a couple of Schnauzers, a couple of Wire Foxes and a couple of Sealyhams through the years. As I mentioned we have a Sealyham and a Wire Fox right now. We generally have 2 dogs at a time.

But let us start with one and see how the kids cope. If I tell my wife she needs to deal with two dogs and two kids with my current still rolonged absences… 😱😉

This was our first Sealyham which the breeder wanted to show. Ended up as a grand champion like the movie Best of Show. lol ...

The wait time for ours is no AD trick - they are just 4 weeks old and should not leave home before 8-9 😉

Can't wait to see pictures of your actual pet . I've always wanted a Husky, but there ain't no way I am keeping one without having an appropriate piece of land, certainly not in a 30 square meter apartment - that would be a nightmare straight off the bat ... 

But are really cool dogs. Be sure there will be pictures up as soon as we pick it up 😁👍🏻

We have had at least one dog in the family for the last twenty years, and earlier last year welcomed a new arrival. And at “home” always dogs, both growing up and now (4 currently, 1 house dog and 3 working dogs). It’ll be great!
