I was so impressed by Jim14’s knife (I own a number of tool knives boating, hiking etc but I’m not a “collector”) that I looked up the company he mentioned (Direware) and was so impressed that I picked this one up for no reason other than I just had to have it!

I see similarities in both the watch and knife game. The craftsmanship of steel and other exotic materials are prerequisites for both. Who couldn't appreciate that?

I have always been attracted to collecting and when I started working in the Fulton Fish Market in the 90's, I needed to carry a pocket knife to open boxes, cut straps, etc. I also had to use knives to fillet fish of course. At one point, I had a "folder"...

I have training (see below) the flipper is smooth but the knife is heavy. Any knife or sharp instrument can be weaponized but this would not be a first choice but a lot better than nothing.

I also have Kali and tactical knife fighting. Knives are specific instruments that can all be weaponized if necessary but a camping knife is big and heavy and tactical knives are light and sharp. The Direware is IMO more for show although because it’s a f...
