I have never been on a submarine but I have on a couple of occasions or more been on a trip watching a Yellow Submarine and at my age and not working I can admit that. Marc

I was curious whether the Naval activity in SD included seeing submarines, which you answered.
I think subs are amongst the most fascinating and imposing of military engineering.
I've met and known a handful of submarine officers. I worked with one for 5 years. All had one thing in common. Despite my earnest, honest, friendly questions to satisfy my nerdy curiosity...none would say anything about where, how long, and how deep.
They would just look at me and smile and ignore my interest.
