It’s sad to read that not only in Paris but in many other cities and countries, the virus is spreading again at alarming rates.
It’s quit opposite to what we are experiencing out here where restrictions are slowly carefully released step by step.
Perhaps the difference is in enforcement. I sometimes am under the impression that the rules in Europe are not enforced as tight and thus not followed strictly by the general public.
My home country being a prime example. Self quarantine is advised but never mandatory. Whilst out here violating self quarantine will get you a $ 15.000 fine straight away.
I don’t know what’s the proper strategy but I do belief that violating guidelines regarding quarantine and social distancing is not helping at all.
In the end, I’m guessing well be facing this virus until either we’ve developed herd immunity or a vaccin has been developed. Until such time caution and logic self protection measures are the only way to protect oneself.
It’s a pity how much we as society are sacrificing (travel industry restaurants etc etc you name it) as a result of relative small groups who don’t care about the risks of infecting themselves Abd worse infecting others
