i think Watchadvisor is the finest watch related channel. Mr Linz is obviously older then almost all the other youtubers and it really pays off. He has a
nice connection to the important people in the industry and he is somehow authentic. he is not in the position to discuss pieces honestly though - so still not even close to the forums we all love, this one in particular. And this is the main problem with all those channels. They get new pieces as long as the industry or an ad think it will boost their sales.

Have any of you watched any of the YouTube watch videos by Jenni Elle? Just watched a couple, she seems pretty knowledgeable and is refreshing, compared to some of the other videos I have seen.

the yt channel i find a hoot to watch is ben's watch club. too bad the coverage is strictly in the 'affordable' segment
i laughed out loud the first time i watched an archie luxury video...
but after that, i'd had enough (it was just more of the same, no longer funny). in contrast, i tried 3 random jenni elle videos, could not finish any. won't bother any more (nothing new to learn, not funny) and i wonder why i even tried
I like her content, and enjoy her method of delivery.

Agree... Her videos are drawn out and quite useless... I use youtube primarily to get an idea how a watch wears...
and for that purpose Tim Mosso's sales pitches are quite are helpful as my wrist size is just a little larger than his.

The sad thing is that one of the brands will have a really bad PR department with PR people who don't know watches. Those PR people won't know she's inaccurate and they will court her, invite her, educate her, and hopefully weaponize her for their brand. ...

Those people were invited to factory tours etc. Some have gotten better and have started to disperse better information. Some have gotten worse, and they still disperse the same incorrect, or worse, they become pawns of the PR department and start telling...

He makes like two factual errors per minute. Never seen this before. And he often seems to scratch the pieces the jeweller gives him (see for both opinions the Yacht Master 40 video). But one thing though: His videos make the watches always look very nice...
I like the watch channels where a watchmaker takes apart and fixes a beat up watch. Some are Rolex, some are old unknowns. A couple of watchmakers have channels. You never see their faces. Its about the watch. Not them.
Maybe Jocke can have his own channel. Fixing cars and watches.
