... and a very interesting testimony through the superb photographs of planes and individuals who participate. Let´s never forget them!
As you know I´m very fond of airplanes and the Spitfire is my favorite plane of all times. Did you know that several Argentine volunteers participated as pilots of Spitfires? I know that one or two Spitfires came to my Country privately after the war. They were brought by some of those pilots.
I read their stories long ago and don´t remember now the details. I don´t know the wereabouts of those Spits.

the many pilots from the USA who either volunteered and became part of the Eagle Squadron and those who went to Canada and joined the RCAF. And that was before America got into the war. JB (Toronto, Canada)

in no small part because 418 City of Edmonton Squadron flew them. Formed in 1941, they had the job of intercepting B1 buzz bombs heading for London and became quite good at it, sometimes by tipping them off course with their own wings! They went on to day...
