My tinnitus (a side-effect of shooting and diving in a previous military life) is something I pay attention to only when reminded. Just seeing this post was enough to remember me that it is actually a high frequency machine in there making annoying noises... 

It's been there for as long as I can remember. It's weird to me that other people don't have a constant high-pitched tone in the background.

(Wonder how many will "get" that?)

When you have it like me, it is no joke. But i can laugh with it. Important to wear ear protection when you are under heavy noise. Even when you drive a motorbike. I ware ear protection, but lost one protection foam. Lucky that it is only one, otherwise i...
