Can verify that story...
...and it gets even better. It did indeed happen outside the Windsor Hotel, riverside in South Perth. The story goes that the driver had been 'turning it on' for the crowd trying to have a quiet beer on a hot day. They gave him the thumbs-down. He thrashed the car in reply - but lost it! The crowd went wild - regrettably BDLJ's photo hasn't shown on screen - there was absolutely no sympathy whatsoever. The best bit? The popular understanding is that the driver did not own the Ferrari: the car was out on loan from the dealer!!!

... no ride for me in this one ... several years later my friend bought a 355 ... great car ... very fast ... the only Ferrari i got to drive ... as a passenger ... :-( ... luckily for me my friend is even crazier then i am .... Cheers Filip...

For me, this was my dream car growing up, and I got to drive one finally! The real bonus also was the passenger who I got to drive around for a couple of hair-raising minutes... Any guesses??? I have had the great priviledge and honour to drive a 1970 365...

I believe that photo is from Perth, Western Australia and was taken a couple of years back. The crash occurred outside the Windsor Hotel (a pub) and was witnessed by the Sunday drinking crowd. The driver was drunk and trying to impress the crowd. I think ...
