I would agree with everything you said, especially the poor timekeeping

I own a 'Sapphire Seiko' diver in the roughly $1000 range I LOVE and wear for work, under the radar but gives me pleasure... getting no attention, although occasionally mistaken for a Submariner by NON WATCH people... anyway... I have the same poor timekeeeping, (although within Seiko's wiiiiide specs) and I had the chance to get this watch of yours, from an AD. I LOVED it in pictures and still do... but my experience with NON GS SEIKO movements has been well... disappointing. Mine is many minutes slow each couple of months... and although Seiko clearly states the "tolerance" of something like 20 seconds a day or something... I would never have actually expected it to be, well... TRUE! (mine is like 15 seconds a day off) Seiko apparently finds this acceptable in a roughly 1K watch all the way to 6K! To me, it is not cool. But as much as this disappoints me, the entirety of the rest of the watch exceeds my expectations. I simply love everything else about it. To the fine detail. But I personally could not forgive this timekeeping issue if I spent 6K... so I didn't. With that said, I LOVE YOUR WATCH. And I believe it can be fixed (adjusted) by a competent watchmaker. One day, I will fix mine. But I repeat, I still LOVE IT.

After having the SLA037 for a month, this is how I think about the pros and cons of this diver.

Pros: 1.The Ever brilliant steel is shiny and if as promised by Seiko should let the watch looks new even after many years(have to wait and see) 2. The high beat movement let the seconds hand sweep smoothly. 3. The dial color is just right ranging from da...

Seiko is always great value for money at every price point.

I have the SLA 017, the straight 62MAS reissue, which I really love and enjoy. I’m glad you like yours. ...

Maybe the SLA017 bracelet would fit

Thought exactly the same except for the dial and bracelet color (and movement).

Looks like 19mm!

But is it really different? For Rolex i understand the 916L and oystersteel are just the same. Just called it differently after a certain point.

I would agree with everything you said, especially the poor timekeeping
