I can’t agree with you more
I have a few Grand Seiko’s and when recently I was at an AD, looking at a PP QP piece under a loupe, the finishing of the hands and dripping paint really put me off. I was there with a fellow Purist and both of us were surprised that the kind of work could make it past the QC side of the house.
I’ve not seen any finishing that is less than perfect on a GS, which is amazing given their price points.

Especially in the hands - the difference is obvious as to who takes the most care in shaping and polishing them.
I have one GS the SBGR095 (62GS reissue) from a few years ago
and I can attest under a 10X loupe the hands and dials (esp indices) are cut with laser precision and perfect. 10/10 with no flaws. Sadly I can't say that for any of my Rolex, Omega, Panerai, Blancpain, or IWC. I think my only modern JLC (TT Geophysic 195...
