It's an incredible watch at retail but at market there may be many other more incredible options out there. But I'm sure this one will always be desirable for everybody... Peter

I had previously considered the Platona but I’m beginning to shy away from heavy precious models on the wrist. Maybe I’m getting older, but wearing a huge hunk of gold or platinum bracelet just seems like for a less frequent formal occasion. I think that’... 

I do like the rose gold variant a lot. Might even procure one. But the steel Daytona is a favorite!

I ordered two steel Daytonas last year at my AD and received the white dial in December and will get the black this summer. Both for my sons, so they go unworn and with original plastic into the safe (one already is). To me, this watch does not sing as mu...

And that's the point, the Daytona is a great chronograph timepiece. Solid, reliable, and accurate. With apologies, yet the rest (mkt value) is just 'background noise' to me. Have already lived through three 'cycles' so am immune other than today's histori... 

After wearing it a day, I recognize what a well constructed, robust, and iconic piece it is. I will try to beat it around for the next few weeks and travel to see if there are any new thoughts. Peter
