Wonderful post Bill....!
What constitutes a 'polished'/'unpolished' case? Would you classify one which was done 'at home' with a polishing cloth as one? and how much 'polished' could one be done this way? Usually I would take this as 'shinning' rather than polishing. So if such subtle 'shinning' work is 'detrimental' to the value of the case and what is the recommended way to do one?
Secondly, now I understand more when many advertised posts mentioned 'thick/fat lugs', we should ask for measurements from the seller in addition ya? This will surely drive up the sales of Calipers

So my question is, were the 1675 cases differently made? was there a standard case used throughout its production life? If so what was the actual measurements?
Cheers
Mech.

Whenever I can find interesting aspect that I have learned I always enjoy sharing them in the same way you and the other members here do. It was an unusual opportunity to find this prime example and I happened to have the camera ready. Best Bill
