Dials for the USA market would need underlines and dot. Sometimes they where checked in the USA so you get the double underline . . Also Rolex technicians locally would relume and restore dials ( called repositioning ) they would change the contaminated l...

People have a concept of gilt being gold colored letterings, But they are white letterings from the 1960s onward. Original gilt is silver colored the Rhodium layer under the colors which shine trough the white sometimes they turn brass colored and appears...
