The dial and lume restorer showed me a lot
One of the things he showed me we all look at shape and form of lume but lume can be different per dial especially when relumed by Rolex.
you have too look at the build up how the dial is colored by applied electrolyses or how the lume compounds are .
Once you know that it easy to spot which dials are original or not .
Also Most of the dials have a positive radium read out in the geiger meter .
But not nececarly because of radium
Rhodium in the lume and as the base layer for dial also gives a radium read out .
Once radium dials are for ex. Relumed from radium to tritium by Rolex they still give a radium read out as the the radium contaminates the metal dial.
Also you can perfectly relume with radium
I just want to say the use of the geiger meter is pointless.
Some of the Information written on the popular watch blogs or in books which collectors accept for fact is just invention. Unfortunatly these inventions are used with bad intentions.
Then when you look online and when you really know how Rolex makes inserts then you notice that the mayority If the inserts offered online are not OEM original .
It is not only shape and form but most important content .
