I think I would answer simply all the gilt dial watches are rare and yes some maybe a little more that others... But... I would really answer this by saying finding a 5512 gilt dial in any of the configurations which is in very good condition is rare. So for me the condition is a more rare. I know it sound like a simple answer but whem you compare the examples of configuration x or y finding great examples is really hard and as such command a significant premium among collectors. I would say as much a s double. So if you find a 2 line or a 4 line chapter ring in medium condition as are many examples that would be trumped by a 4 line non chapter in better condition.
Yes for a collector you want to try and get the best example of all the variations while listing highest your best example regardless of rarity.
However, I will say I do seem to see more 2 line chapter ring 5512 than 4 line chapter and non chapter.
