You are already living on the dark side so nothing can hold you back. I have just been trying to systematically cover the bases. I have some coverage with the tropical dials but it is always a personal thing. There is no homogenous way to classify them. B... 

Sister, if I want a tropical dial. If I want to go for a deep glossy gilt dial, no wonder here, a 5512 or 13... Preferrably underline. Best, Nicolas, from the dark side.

I think I would answer simply all the gilt dial watches are rare and yes some maybe a little more that others... But... I would really answer this by saying finding a 5512 gilt dial in any of the configurations which is in very good condition is rare. So ... 

I follow you, condition is the trump card here. What about the case then, from the little I understand about the 5513 a PCG case commands a premium over the square crown guards. Do you think that applies here as well? The reason I ask is that to us outsid... 

the PCG case is a feature associated with a specific time period and the dial that is associated with a PCG would be a chapter ring dial ending +/- 1963 with a non chapter ring swiss only dial. The square crown guard was a transition from the no crown gua... 

Lots of different moving parts to keep track off on these Rolexes. It keeps me the eternal student.

So most dials had stated to transition to Tritium. Unless you have the right tools to test for radiation is hard to say. Just from a visual pount of view most of the dials that I have observed that I believed to be radium where not glossy dials but more o...
