totally agree...
the exterior design is far from impressive. not a fan of the dial design and use of a DJ design case. putting that aside, the (interior) movement and innovation is pretty awesome. an annual calendar with a GMT function THAT is operated using the crown and bezel to select which function to operate. ALTHOUGH I would have preferred an abbreviation of the month as an aperture instead of translating the number of the month into its corresponding month.
selling the watch in precious metals at those prices is a lot to swallow. SS and around 10k USD, sure it will be a big seller. BUT precious metal and $40k+ USD, you are in the territory of Patek and can get a nicer annual calendar for that $$$$. Although we don't like to admit it, there are NON-WIS out there who perceive Rolex as the absolute best watch company in the world and the President (D/D) as the absolute best watch in the world, period! Patek, Lange VC, JLC? Who are those?? So I guess if someone wants a new hot design and has $$$ to burn, this Sky-Dweller is great for that person.
