There is an old saying in Spanish which approximately translates: “perseverance always brings a flower”
And this is a good example:
I entered an order for this watch in a local Boutique in 2018 just a few hours after Rolex announced the launching of his steel Pepsi GMT.
Months passed and in the following almost three years I was not lucky to get one without paying the outrageous over prices requested.
I searched both locally and abroad but we all know what’s happening with the “steel sport” watches of the Crown in the last years.
Unexpectedly I received a phone call from the Boutique last Tuesday telling me that they had received two Pepsi watches: one with Oyster and one with Jubilee bracelets and one was assigned to me and I could choose the one I preferred. You can imagine my surprise and my excitement!
I usually prefer the Oyster but in this particular model I liked best the Jubilee since day one. So the choice was easy.
Yesterday Wednesday I anxiously drove trough the chaotic traffic of my city covering the 16 miles to downtown to visit the shop and take delivery of my “flower” .
No need to tell you how excited and happy I feel with this watch that had been haunting my horological mind for all these years of patience and perseverance which finally brought the flower home.
I’m happy to share a few shots taken in haste yesterday as soon as I arrived back into my office.
Have a nice weekend friend!
