The question is now where do they go
Mar 23, 2019,13:46 PM
They cut production creating a huge demand which now cannot be met. This whole nightmare started in the fall of 2017 when Rolex just stopped deliveries until in the spring. Market has been a mess ever since. Dealers who got 10 to 12 Subs a year now are lucky to see 2.

If IWC tried to pull a stunt like this? They would close down in a year!! Only Rolex can do this to their customers and still profit as a non profit of course!!!
Don't blame Rolex, blame the customers...

for letting them get away with it. Luckily I'm not a Rolex fan and don't really care about the games they're playing, but if I were I'd be moving on at this point. So many excellent brands out there who actually want my money.

They cut production early and didn’t forecast demand. The AD’s treat customers like dirt and use shady sales tactics. If you think the customers controls supply and that every customer is a flipper looking to make a profit then that’s your opinion not a f...

I never said every customer was a flipper looking to make a profit, no idea where you got that from. What I meant by 'blame the customers' is that diehard Rolex fans seem to be willing to put up with anything to get hold of a Rolex steel sports watch - ev...
GREED

This circle is not ending because people get their hands on these watches flip them to the grey market who in turn have all the supply and crank up prices. People with loads of cash are now the customers! It used to be people like myself that live in the ...

Rolex was not going to be phased out as redundant luxury. They have succeeded. but with many unhappy customers along the way.

When the economy tanks or dips
By: ripper444 : March 23rd, 2019-15:42
Then people won’t have disposable income to spend on Rolex and slowly the AD’s will have those pieces sitting there like they used to. How many years from now? No idea but that’s the only way I see this stabilizing. That’s my opinion. Now as far as the gr...
