Remembering some Canadian Rolexes

Just managed to dig out some of my older Canadian Rolexes.  I have an identical twins.  Both of them have the same date of birth i.e. II. 1958 and 5504.
Too bad the honeycomb white one is a refinished dial. Both movement is a non chronometer cal. 1530.  The white one has an interesting history to it.  Years ago a Canadian went to Brunei to visit but have exhausted his funds.  He sold this watch to a watch maker.  And then this watch was  bought by another Canadian and brought it back to Canada.  And so it happened that this person came to my friend store and sold it.  So this watch came back to Canada in a full circle.
The boy size Canadian made Oyster is interesting.  Don't know why they put on the Explorer on the dial.  I suspect that it is a old refinish dial.  The movement is the typical F 59. 
The case back is also interesting with a F after the the case reference # 3121.  Any insight about the Canadian Rolexes anyone?  
I meet an older gentlemen years ago, he used to design the dial for Canada Rolex.  He said for 1930's to 1950's Rolex Canada has full autonomy in designing the dial.  And that is why the are so many different dials from that period compared to Swiss Rolex.  Don't know how true that is.  I guess there must be some truth to it since he worked for Rolex Canada.  Any comment(s) and or insights are much appreciated.
