Rolex

Just managed to dig out some of my older Canadian Rolexes. I have an identical twins. Both of them have the same date of birth i.e. II. 1958 and 5504. Too bad the honeycomb white one is a refinished dial. Both movement is a non chronometer cal. 1530. The ...  

but I like the home made engraving on the caseback !

Now the moral is? No moral just lovely to have story to tell with these great old watches. Thanks for sharing. Bill

refinished , but it's hard to say from such a small and blurry picture. black dial has a matt or glossy ( lacquered ) finish ?

After looking at the black dial closely, the dial doesn't seemed to be matt. The lacquer is almost not present due to long mosture esposure. But it is an original one. The lettering on Everest has a different font and is lighter in color, not sure why. It... 

your dial looks to be the black version of this one : ...  

This is only the second time I have seem a white dial everest watch. Very nice. These watches are so hard to find these days. For sure I'll post some larger pictures.
