So I managed to purchase a new watch from a flipper today. I paid above retail to secure a watch I had been trying to find for awhile. Turns out the flipper works at Changi airport and has friends at the AD who give him a heads up when HOT model Rolex com...
I must say this is the strategy / works of some genius..

I am not surprised because it is being practiced at most Rolex ADs here Or maybe across the globe Here you can find “fresh” pieces being sold through grey dealers at much higher price with premium above retail, which were just purchased from local ADs ver...
Not surprised.

Congrats on landing your coveted piece, and I hope that you enjoy its ownership. The practice that you described doesn’t surprise me at all. And Rolex is well aware of it and, by turning a blind eye, supports it. It ends up alienating some of the clientel...

That is how corruption works. Access to supply by paying someone off who has inside access to that supply. Unless you want to classify bribery as a form of capitalism. I’m not saying the buyer is directly involved in Bribery, but the middleman and the AD ...
I really don't understand your point.

As far as complaining goes. I didn’t buy one. My response to you is to correct an inaccurate posit about capitalism. By way of extreme example, many people would like to own the Mona Lisa. There are many buyers and zero sellers. Stealing the Mona Lisa is ...

The same dealer had a Rolex Daytona and was selling it over retail. Something should be done about this dealer, especially if it’s in the airport. If anything, congrats on the incredible piece and enjoy! Peter
congrats on a great piece!
