I think it’s easy for some to wax poetic about these heavily used vintage Subs, but at the end of the day with this trade, you’re left with a rattletrap and stretched bracelet with a cheap stamped clasp, on a watch head that is likely over polished and a beat up aluminum bezel.
I think you’d quickly miss the quality of the two tone GMT in short order and wonder why you traded down

I would keep the CHNR (Root Beer) vs the 1675. For a Daytona, that's a different situation!
Depends on what pulls at your heartstrings more.
They are such different watches, that they may as well be from different brands. The four digit is very tool-watchy. The CHNR is very pretty and finely-finished, not to mention the extra tech in the movement. I pity you for being in such a conundrum

That is what I’m thinking. I would trade up a chnr in a heartbeat if the 1675 is pristine and original.
Modern rolex are a dime a dozen and frankly the modern gmt’s leave me cold. But: very personal choice.
This is a much too personal and subjective decision. Whatever really sings to you should be the deciding factor...

I'd keep the modern Rootbeer
I think it’s a great watch and the rose gold makes it a special watch to me. But if I had to choose between my Rootbeer and 1675 it would be tough. M.
