Rolex

My heart always beats a bit faster when...

... I view a Rolex, originally bought in Argentina, now residing in some far place!

Hi Nicolas! That 1675 GMT of yours is sooo sweet! I specially like your "Mar del Plata GMT"!!

As per its paperwork, that pretty was bought by Señor Cesar Negri, who actualy lived in Mar del Plata, a nice vacational seaside city by the Atlantic Ocean, some 400 kilometers south of Buenos Aires.

But he took a trip to the near city of Tandil, some 120 kilometers from Mar del Plata (and 300 kilometers from Buenos Aires) to visit the Tandil watch shop where he bought the GMT.

Curious enough to think why he took the effort to drive, as Mar del Plata had its own AD in those years.

This little details are some of the charm of vintage, specially when we find them with the original papers.

They make us think (dream?) about its past. In which circumstances they were bought, how much satisfaction or simply fine services they gave to the original owners. Or how being sold in a far place from Geneve, they end their days back in Europe!

That´s a very, very interesting piece Nicolas, a keeper and a dream maker watch! I wish you enjoy so much!

Best cordial regards, Abel.
PS: Also, how sweet cute 6610 you got there! I imagine this one is a keeper!
