My 60-year-old recent find
It's a 34mm gold-shell 1024 Oyster Perpetual.
New to vintage, I was surprised that so many vintage watches are available
However, I was more surprised how hard it was to find one with box and papers.
I found this one that not only looks incredible for its age, but included nearly pristine box, guarantee, and chronometer cerfificate too.
It is in such great condition that I wonder if it sat in the box all these years; or if at some point, the dial, hands, etc. had been replaced/redone.
I don't know enough to judge for myself.
I know that it was overhauled in September by the dealer who has been in the vintage business for 125 years.
The product description didn't mention replaced/redone parts. There was no overhaul history by Rolex.
Anyway, for me it is a very sharp looking, simple design. It is fun to wear a 60-year-old watch that is almost as old as I am.
