Rolex

It's great!

The best thing I can say about it is that I really look forward to wearing it and it puts a smile on my face when I have it on my wrist.

The D-blue dial is fantastic. I love the Kawasaki green "Deepsea".

If you come from wearing a 40/41mm Submariner or Sea Dweller the Deepsea will seem massive but if you commonly wear watches of 42mm plus then it won't be as much of a shock to the system.

It is thick and heavy but fortunately the amazing micro-adjustment clasp enables you to get a great fit very easily and after a few hours you forget the weight.

In relation to M2's comments about an OG Sea Dweller, they are obviously great watches and I have a 16600 Sea Dweller on my wrist as I type, but it feels puny and cheap compared to the Deepsea!

I think the Deepsea, especially the D-blue, is likely to be a relatively safe place to put money but given that there are plenty of them around I can't see them rocketing in value.

At the moment I think that the size difference with the Submariners and GMTs puts some potential customers off, but people are getting physically bigger over time and a 44mm watch is not that large. 50-60 years ago a lot of men's watches were around 35mm, but that would now seem very small.

The combination of unique looks, engineering and relative grey market affordability (compared with something like a Pepsi or Daytona) persuaded me to get one and I haven't regretted it.

All the best

Jon
