Daytona. I wanted it so badly when it was launched back in 2016, but the hype and therefore waitlist made it impossible and so...I move on. Fast forward to 2020 and I was presented the opportunity to purchase the 116500LN at MSRP. The love is no longer as...  

My AD asked me if I wanted either a white or black one and after considering and trying both on, I passed. It should have been something I craved but honestly, the hype and the actual look and feel was underwhelming. I was happy to let the next folks have...

Yes, that’s the prior generation and that’s the color combination to get! Many years back, it was being displayed at the AD, unfortunately a lady 20 seconds ahead of me sat down and bought it right away for her husband. He’s a lucky man! Enjoy your watch ...

Time will tell if I can develop a strong feel for this watch again but I won’t sell it, perhaps one of my sons may like it more.

I understand your woes fully. You are lucky to get such a wonderful piece directly from the AD. Hope to see more wristshots of it. This piece will likely always be in demand, and scarce.

I personally do not use watches an investment vehicles. I acquire watches that I find interesting, and I wear them. If I find I’m not wearing one of my watches often or if my eyes get tired of looking at its lines then off it goes to a new owner. But this...

I had mine for a month and could not fall in love with it despite the hype. A fellow purist is now the proud owner of the watch

I am not a Daytona fan or love or do not like. Just have no click with that watch. I think it’s because i like other watches. I have dream watches, and no experience with a dream watch which is afterwards a regret.

I fell in love with my 16520 again, a Daytona which I find better than the current one, with its perfectly aligned sub dials. Look at the current one, the sub dials at 3 and 9 are more toward 2 and 10 o clock. They should be just between 2 and 10 and 4 an...  

When I look at it, I see a very beautiful watch, but there’s no deep affection, yet. I can see why you prefer 16520 over current offering, it’s like 5070 vs 5170, the sub dial layout definitely looks more balanced.

It was enough to c her face on screen .IDK but this ceramic bezel just doesn t work for me on a D ,too bold and out of proportions .Give me any other Daytona Iand I m happy except the recent the 4130 mvmnt that a stellar mechanical achievement for sure-m... 

that those are like a rightly sized DJ with a chrono complication , all done very elegantly and sporty , the 116500 it s too loudly a sportswatch to my taste .

Why buy when you are not completely satisfied? Some of our purchases give us a feeling of inexplicable joy in the detail and it is sometimes even difficult to share it. But internally at that moment we know, we are fully satisfied. What are the real reaso... 

The Daytona is not for me. never liked it, probably never will. It has nothing to do with the Hype, couldn't care less about that. It's just the overall design, especially the screwed down pushers and the hour markers, that doesn't trigger me. If I think ... 

I have changed my mind after the initial interest based on research, deliberation and feedback from owners. Although the Daytona is my favorite dial among the Rolex offerings.

I would also suggest to wear it and see if you bind with it after a little time. Regardless, you have an exceptionally well made timepiece 😁👍

proposition of ST Daytona is its docile playfulness- its 40mm, robust, automatic, easily serviceable, 72hr PR with vertical clutch, accurate and sporty. No other watch so far checks all those boxes. It is definitely not its collectibility or value. Vintag... 

I am admit the craftsmanship of the Daytona is impressive. The bracelet is butter smooth and the size of the casing is just perfect for me. No date is great plus but somehow I like my Explorer 1 more.
