Hi guys, i recently took the plunge to get a custom Rolex made for me. Here's how it looks from the concept sketch. I guess most purists would disapprove. But I thought why not and took the plunge when they responded with a yes after I registered my inter...  

I am interested as well to have a piece from them from one of my Rolex but looking at their website it feels like they are fully busy and are not taking orders...seeing your picture I will try again!

Forgive me, but that written "Oyster" with the pump buttons just does not suit me. It is against any Rolex tradition .... What a pity this fall in watchmaking Rolex culture ... Luca

a little bit disappointed they didnt advise me on that. in fact, their previous creation, tribute to 6263 also had the word oyster and pump pushers. i was just using that model as the starting point for my piece.

I have signed-up for their newsletter numerous times and have never seen one. When I go to their website, it's not clear what's available and how one can place an order. Just an overall weird feel, I guess.

they opened the option back in march for very short period for very few people, since they said their capacity was very limited. they chose my project because of its simplicity. i dont think they are open for this project anymore. my guess is they may ope... 

Love the green dial. However I have to agree with the comment above regarding pump pushers and oyster on the dial. For pump pushers dial should have only Rolex and cosmograph. As below pic illustrates on one of their creations. Sincerely H. ...

that is how it works. they gave the option of using their previous creations as base design as the more cost effective option.

Honestly, i am not a Daytona guy. Reasons, no green dial. So, i see a Daytona can be great. The pushers look like Omega Speedmaster pushers. Clean and useful. Fan of a Hulk 116610LV, i like green Rolexes, except the Kermit. I hope for you Rolex will accep... 

my wife said exactly the same thing.. i guess it's because of the old style bezel used here, which is very similar to speedmaster bezel. by the way, it's a given rolex wont service this watch. but i'm not worried about that. plenty of reputable independen... 

about Rolex is i can not see the movement trough glass. Take an AP Royal Oak Off shore. Many of them have the case back to admire the in house movement. See the rotor sweeps around is just awesome. So Rolex will be my brand if they want to change. Going w...

I do like the concept, and have thought several times of going this route for a vintage inspired Rolex. I look forward to seeing the wrist shots in a few weeks.

Are you submitting a bonafide genuine vintage Rolex daytona for them to personalize into this design? Or are they building a customized neo-vintage Rolex Daytona for you? I was aware that they did the former, but didn’t know about the latter option. Enjoy... 

i had the option of sending my genuine daytona for customization or get them to source a new genuine daytona to do it. i opted for them to source it for me, since ir's a hassle to send my daytona to them. they bought new daytona and that was included in t...

the one with steel bezel, not ceramic. you cam check out their website. they use that model for all their creations.

In my briefing with them, i told them i wanted the green dial to be closer to submariner hulk green and not too dark like the recent iwc portuguese chrono green dial or flat looking like the daytona yellow gold green. i emphasized the sunburst effect must... 

And Rolex actually DID make a green dial BUT in WG for their Beach series (116509 and 116519). The dial was made from Chrsytophase and there was also a Turquoise dial as well. The formal would be selling for +100k so not necessarily cheap 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ ... 

even better than the original. The hour markers look good and those pump pushers are a very good choice, absolutely dislike the screw down pushers. Keep us posted. Regards, George

I couldn’t live with the word oyster on a pump button Daytona. I’m afraid the second a watch designer or maker did that for me it would be game over. I’m not a green dial fan either. So never being a fan of watches which have been made so that they can’t ... 

the issue about the word oyster bothers me a bit, as has been pointed out earlier. i asked AdG about it, they said the oyster still stands, since they have managed to maintain the oyster waterproofing system the same as the one with screwed down pushers. ... 

I don’t agree with the explanation about oyster because it was used when screw pushers increased waterproof ability. I to had one of the very early modification Daytona’s by ProjextX and the Pro Hunters are demanding high prices still I believe so it work... 

seeing the pics after you will get watch. The see through back case is a good addition to the watch.
