Coincidentally Bill, John Buckley just posted a video on these again.
In it, he talks about his (and a partner’s) purchase of a batch of these bezels more than two decades ago.
The partner in that purchase, who speaks on the video, states that his watch (which is fitted with one of the earlier Blueberry inserts; early ones apparently having a different font than a later batch, but that earlier batch font is the same as the all black inserts from that era, some bleeding in the colours and a visible “halo”) was serviced by Rolex and the service papers note the “all blue” insert.
Now, just because Rolex NYC serviced the watch with the bezel doesn’t immediately tell me all is OK. I would guess standards at service were questionable in the past.
Anyways, I thought it was interesting to see this pop up shortly after this discussion here.

I have never seen any confirmation in Rolex literature that substantiates they were made by Rolex.
Your picture is cool. I saw recently some review saying they examined the texture and paint and said he felt they were Authentic "The classic Blueberry". I like to live in the myth and fairytale fun. It is a cool look.

I actually bought an aftermarket insert for my 16750, it was just for fun and solely for the “look”. I can’t recall the name of the guy that I bought it for, but he was clearly marking them as aftermarket on the reserve side least there be any shady stuff...

I thought I knew everything ( or almost ) about GMT MASTER, I didn't know this arabic blue insert!
Blue inserts always intrigued me, as I never could " tie " them to original documents / sources... I can't deny a real and strong appeal for them. BUT this arabic version... WOW! Thanks, Bill. Nico
There is no documents for any blueberry as every produced by Rolex but some to say not produced.
So no authenticity claimed just a magnificent look to enjoy. I did go down the rabbit hole before but lucky I did not get burned. You remember this document. ...
