I had the last 4 white Daytonas.
The 116500 is perhaps ultimately very endearing with its small "defects", the sub-meters too big and the case more clumsy.
The 126500 is just perfect, the edge of the steel bezel, the case with lugs that eats the wrist better, the thinner sub-counters... it wins.
I still have the 16520 and 126500.
I will come back to the 16520 to tell its interesting little story.

There's something magic about the steel bezel and the white dial that the modern model fails to capture.
126500. I slightly prefer the 116500 case but, for me,
the leaner indices and the metal bezel ring of the 126500 are major improvements. Cheers Marc

I have the 116500 so that’s my
choice. If offered the 126500 from my AD I’d take it and most likely sell the 116600. That said, I would not seek the newer one on the secondary market. It’s just not worth the upgrade to me.
12 for me...but just slightly
leaner indices, bezel to me look more appealing, but we're splitting hairs here, at least for me. Both are great!
Both have too many lines of text at 12 o'clock, imo.
Aside from that, I don't like the steel bezel rim on the new model. The thinner indices are nice, but I still prefer the older version. That said, I'm not a Daytona fan at all, so my opinion probably doesn't matter much. Best, Emmanuel
I own the first one. I have not yet held the second one in my
hands. I can just tell from detailed comparisons online, The case of the previous one is rounder and perhaps more refined. The caliber got some technical upgrades for instance the chronergy escapement.
