Battle of the subs Comex vs Red sub
Comex 5513 and the mf 1680 Red Submarner. These are close cousins the Comex gaining a small advantage with helium release valve.

Both watches express a strong character and are very happy to be near the ocean.

Individually each one has distinct visual keys. The red submariner 1680 with the iconic red text on the dial and unrelenting height of the top hat giving the watch a unique feel.

For the 5513 Comex a more unassuming and understated look. The early prototype Comex watches that came out in the first batch did not mostly feature the Comex logo on the dial but under the hood it featured the key advance with the HEV. These watches were workhorses giving to divers as tools that took a lot of abuse. The first batch numbered under 200 featured the small number and the distinct Comex text on the case back.

This little feature is being written live. I apologize to our European friends that find themselves under the cold and snow. So I will leave you with a little warm weather picture to warm you up.
